Application Governance and Release Process Key to
Enterprise and Small Business Alike
By Charlie Murawski - The
proliferation of Software as a Service (SaaS),
Platform as a Service (PaaS),
and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in recent
years has come with many
benefits. From more rapid deployment (relative to
traditional technologies),
the resulting productivity increases, and cost
savings to IT--we can see why
they've been such a success across enterprises.
With a 74% increase in the past
four years, the proof, as they say, is in the
pudding. We see this on a daily
basis with our clients using platforms such as
Intuit Quick Base and Microsoft
SharePoint. Although IT is saving much needed time
not maintaining expensive
hardware, this march to the cloud has caused new
headaches. What we typically
see today are smaller business process applications
geared toward a single
department or user group; as opposed to a more
traditional enterprise-wide
deployment of a product.

Engaging Key Application Stakeholders Important to
Successful Project Rollout
Managing stakeholders effectively can heavily
influence the perceived success of a project, and
ultimately the user
adoption
By Suresh Iyer - To most new project
managers, the most important aspect of your job is
likely the project delivery.
In a close second place is probably the project
stakeholders. However, as you
begin to gain more and more experience as a project

that project stakeholders are as important as the
project itself because the
relationship with the stakeholders defines whether the
project is seen as a
success or not, despite a successful delivery. It
becomes imperative to make
sure the stakeholders are actively engaged at each
phase of the project and the
channels of communication are appropriately used. In
this article, we will see
what some of the common challenges with Stakeholder
Management are, in a
conventional sense, and how we can overcome those by
engaging effectively with
the stakeholders.

Easily Check the Status of Your MCFTech Hosted
Services and Prepare for Scheduled
Maintenance
By Paul Young - A month ago,
we
launched a new website designed to bring you
all the information you need about
MCFTech; whether you're a potential new
client or a valued existing client. As
part of this effort, we are pleased to
announce the addition of a
"Services Status" page. This page will
help you stay up-to-date on the
status of any MCFTech services we host for
you including many of our popular
add-ons and extensions such as Template
Builder, DocuSign integrations as well
as custom web portals and more. In the past,
we have communicated about
scheduled and unscheduled maintenance via
email, and will continue to do so.
However, we understand these emails may go
unread or forgotten, and our new
Service Status page will allow you to quickly
check on the current status of
services, as well as any upcoming or past
maintenance. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact your
Project Manager, Project
Coordinator, or email us at info@mcftech.com.
